What an EOR adds to the salary
The employer costs and the lowest provider fee add 12.6% of the gross salary in Canada to 61.2% in Brazil.
The bars use one scale. Each bar is the gross salary, then the employer costs, then the lowest provider fee. The figure at the end is the cost on top of the salary, as a share of the salary.

What the totals include
Each total adds up three parts, for one year:
- The gross salary, at the default salary of the country guide.
- The employer costs that the law requires, such as social security, pension and health contributions. Each country guide shows them line by line, with a source for each rate.
- The lowest published monthly provider fee, times 12. When a provider publishes a price in the currency of the country, we use it.
The totals leave out costs that depend on the sector, the insurer or the size of the company. Each country guide names them. They also leave out benefits that the law does not require, and any deposit that a provider asks for in a quote. Read our methodology.
